MORE ABOUT BECKY AND A FOOL'S GESTURE The first live-action movie I saw was Raiders of the Lost Ark at the ripe age of seven, and I was hooked on Hollywood ever since. I simply love movies for the way they bring me into a world that I would never be able to experience otherwise. Every genre appeals to me, though not every movie. People have always told me that I review movies in a way that “real” people can relate to, versus the critics that sometime seem out-of-touch with what the public wants – pure entertainment. I enjoy an action flick like Speed, an epic like Gladiator, a love story like The Notebook or a comedy like American Pie. I evaluate each movie on its own merit and think of what the average moviegoer (male or female) would want to know, in order to decide if it’s worth both their the time and money.Current theatrical releases will be the initial priority each week, though older film reviews will slowly be added, so continue checking back. RATINGS SCALE A - I will buy the DVD, memorize the script and officially stalk the starsB - Liked it a lot, but something is missing. Inclusion in shelf collection is a crapshoot, but may watch again on HBO. C - Worth watching once (and only once), but wait for it to come out on DVD in four months anyway D - The person who dragged me to this film owes me an expensive dinner, and I pick the next film F - I want my money back from the theatre plus punitive damages for time spent watching this sack 'o shit  |
